What We Do
Dignity’s Alcove, Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)(3), provides 24-month transitional housing, meals and indigent supplies to veterans who are homeless. Drug and alcohol, relapse prevention, problem solving, conflict resolution, time management and money management classes are offered. We are the only transitional housing program for male veterans in San Joaquin County.
Who We Serve
We serve homeless male veterans with honorable or general discharges. Homeless female veterans are served at the VA Menlo Park Homeless Veterans Rehabilitation Program.
What We Need
As a nonprofit, Dignity's Alcove is always in need of the following items:
- Bedding - bedsheets, pillows, blankets
- Toiletries - razors, shave cream, shampoo, soap
- Clothing - men's clothing, shoes, coats, socks
- Food - Dry goods, snacks, fruit

You, our veteran have served our country and we believe you should be cared for and be given every opportunity to have a stable home.
How Do We Do It?
We provide a 6 - 24-month, transitional housng facility to help you get back on your feet. We offer personalized case management and depending on need; outreach, transportation assistance, employment services, advocacy and medical linkage to primary care services and medical clinics including the VA French Camp Medical Clinic and mental health services.
